Deep State research and writing has been on our back burner for about a year. The family business finally started coming back to life in early 2023 after Covid nearly killed it, so that’s been my priority.
Nonetheless, we Deep Dive on the Deep State when we can, especially when something seems particularly relevant.
As such, the following is an updated and republished essay we originally published about two years ago.
We think it is particularly relevant and timely now, based on the recent focus on “Helter Skelter” (Charlie Manson and friends) anomalies of Citizen Journalist George Webb (@realgeorgewebb1), as well as Dana (@danadoodah), who has been exposing the weirdness of The Best Friends Animal Society, which was previously known as The Process Church of the Final Judgement.
In addition, the 2020 Covid “live exercise” and subsequent vaccine roll-out is particularly relevant in the context of, what looks like an effort, to stay true to a long-term eugenics’ agenda by some wealthy family cliques.
Our broad thesis is that pre-World War II eugenics ideas and promotions did not disappear when Adolf Hitler left the stage in 1945.
Rather, like many high-ranking Nazis, the eugenics movement and its promoters went underground (Paper-Clipped Nazis), and rebranded (“population control” and “family planning” instead of “eugenics”) and shifted to less obvious attempts to genocide the world’s population to more controllable levels (concentration camps and nuking cities are out, bio-warfare and drug addiction and gender change surgery are in.)
We are still connecting dots, but we think the inconsistencies around the Charlie Manson “official narrative”, as described by Tom O’Neill, in his book “Chaos, Charles Manson, the CIA, and the Secret History of the Sixties”, can be better understood by considering the motivations and methods of the population control crowd, the main players and a few minor players.
More relevantly though, the activities of Charlie Manson and the CIA, provide useful meta data that shines some light on the eugenics agenda in its active and current form. That is, while the Manson murder cult still has unanswered questions, that was 50+ years ago and Charlie is dead.
Nevertheless, the ruling elites are still trying to kill us today, so solving some of the Manson mysteries, or destroying the conventional, yet misleading, narrative, makes an examination of those mysteries more than just an exercise in correcting the historical record.
The CIA and Eugenics
The book “Chaos” mostly focusses on the possible ways Charlie ended up doing dirty deeds for the CIA and the reasons why the CIA (or FBI or Military Intelligence) would need a guy like Charlie to cause such chaos.
As “Chaos” explains, discrediting the hippie/peace movement was probably a major factor; and it worked. Moreover, Charlie Manson and his followers probably came under the CIA’s sphere of influence via the agency’s MK Ultra program. (LSD and other drugs were handed out to hippies and assorted alt-culture types in San Franciso by MK Ultra fronts. While studying the effects of drugs on individuals and populations remains the official explanation, it now seems clear that the MK Ultra program also involved creating monsters, like Charlie Manson to cult leader, or Tex Watson, the brutal murderer.)
By the time the Manson clan had started its murder spree in the Summer of 1969, MK Ultra had already been in existence at least 15 years, with predecessor programs stretching back to at least Word War II.
Whereas many of the known MK Ultra projects seem to have specific sub-programs intended to create Manson type monsters, or assassins with no memory, or soldiers with no fear, it should be considered that the over-arching goal was to control the population so that resistance to the authoritarians would be impossible.
To that end, reducing the number of people that need to be controlled, would be high on any evil oligarchy’s “to-do” list; fewer people, fewer hassles.
Under that premise, we take a look at some of the possible connections that suggests an older eugenics agenda (pre-WWII) might have been reconfigured, rebranded and pushed under the innocuous, if not seemingly innocent idea of spaying and neutering dogs and cats.
The Eugenics Agenda Psy-Op and Humane Societies.
Some peripheral Charlie Manson connections.
The largest and oldest animal humane society (formed about 1870) in the United States in 1954 was the American Humane Association (AHA.)
In the early part of the 20th Century, and through the 1930s, the AHA not only rescued animals, they also operated some of the largest orphanages in the country. (Orphanages were in especially high demand during the Depression.)
Given the AHA's commitment to saving both Animals and Children, the organization was vehemently opposed to the post World War II effort to spay and neuter cats and dogs. The AHA believed that the sterilization of animals would lead to the sterilization of People. (The AHA held that position until 1973.)
In 1954, because of the policy of the AHA, dissident members split and formed the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS).
The HSUS cause looks noble enough.
No one wants to see animals suffer. The sterilization of pets is certainly preferable to putting unwanted kittens and puppies to death.
On the surface, the HSUS arguments were sound, and it might be hard to agree with the AHA position that pet sterilization is a link in the chain to culling the human population.
Then again, the HSUS founders do point towards a more insidious hidden agenda.
The first President of the HSUS was Fred Myers. He was previously a reporter that had been accused of cavorting with Communists. He also wrote favorable articles towards eugenics before WWII and was a member of the Institute of Pacific Relations (IPR.)
The IPR would eventually be accused of promoting Bolshevik and/or anti-American ideals. More importantly, the IPR was funded by those wealthy American Tycoons (like the Rockefellers) that were openly pro-eugenics until Hitler came along and put their principals into practice.
Another key founder of the HSUS was Cleveland Amory of Boston. A "brahmin" from way-back-when, Cleveland used his clout and writing skills (he was a popular author) to recruit celebrities for HSUS causes.
Most curiously, Cleveland’s brother, Robert Amory Jr., was the CIA Director of Intelligence from 1953 to early 1962. This relationship is not mentioned in the Wikipedia biography of Cleveland Amory and Robert Amory Jr. does not even have a Wikipedia page.
As CIA Director of Intelligence, only Allen Dulles and General Charles Pearre Cabell “out ranked” Robert Amory Jr. in the agencies organizational structure. Richard Bissell (first cousin once removed to Robert Swan Mueller III) was at the same level as Amory in his position as CIA Director of Plans.
Cleveland was relatively famous in the 1960s and 1970s as an author, TV personality, and advocate for the humane treatment of animals. We have yet to find a news clipping or magazine article from those decades that mention his brother was one of the top guys at the CIA for almost a decade.
We also find it interesting that Robert Amory Jr. is hardly mentioned in the context of possible suspects or managers or planners of the JFK Assassination.
Dulles, Cabell and Bissell are usually mentioned as possible high-level conspirators because President Kennedy fired them after the failed Bay-of-Pig invasion of April 1961.
While the three did leave the CIA, their departure was not sudden, with Dulles and Cabell leaving in late November/early December 1961. Richard Bissell was "let-go” from his Director of Plans position in late January 1962 but was also offered a newly created technology division seat at the CIA but declined to take it.
Similarly, Robert Amory Jr. was “let go” of his Director of Intelligence position in late January 1962, and offered a position in the Budget Office, which he took.
In short, the lack of Robert Amory Jr. follow-through in the JFK Research community seems like a purposeful oversight on the part of some of the more well-known researchers.
Side Track - Charlie Manson
In about 1967, Cleveland had a falling out with the HSUS and soon formed “The Fund for Animals” which had a similar mission as the HSUS (pet sterilization) and maybe a little more extreme views with respect to other animal related issues, such as the cruelty of the fur industry, and the necessity of hunting for sport.
Amory’s media connections allowed him to recruit Hollywood celebrities such as Jack Paar, Mary Tyler Moore, and actress Doris Day to advocate for the Fund for Animals and related organizations in the late 1960s. She was a member of the Fund for Animals board and went on to found her own animal advocacy societies.
Doris Day’s son was Terry Melcher. Record producer Terry Melcher let Charlie Manson audition for him on at least one occasion. Melcher was the previous resident of the house where Sharon Tate and her friends were murdered by the family. The conventional wisdom is that the Family went to kill Melcher for not supporting Manson's music career. The unconventional wisdom is that Melcher and Manson had a different relationship.
The theories that the CIA had something to do with Manson should be considered in the context of the formation of the HSUS by Cleveland Amory and whether Cleveland and his high-ranking CIA Director brother Robert had a broader goal in mind, given that the HSUS made the sterilization of pets a mainstream cause, and cheap, and fast.
Friends of Animals and the Ford Foundation
After the HSUS split with the AHA in 1954, Alice Herrington and her husband, Dr. Robert C. Schmid, founded “Friends of Animals” in NYC in 1957. "Friends" followed the same pro-sterilization principals of the HSUS, and very likely got its early grants and access to sterilization experts from the HSUS.
We found one mention that Cleveland Amory was President of Friends of Animals (The Charlotte News 1969.09.09 page 5) but it’s possible the reporter made an error, confusing “Fund” and “Friends". Amory and Herrington definitely ran in the same circles, with press accounts showing both Funds and Friends at the same animal rights events. Also, like Friends, Funds was headquartered in NYC.
Alice is mostly given credit for forming "Friends of Animals" in more recent versions of the organization’s origin story. One has to go way back in the archives to discover that she even had a husband, that he was a co-founder, and that he worked for the Ford Foundation in the 1950s.
Her husband, Dr. Robert C. Schmid knew a thing or two about psychological warfare and Nazis. A 1937 graduate of Ohio University, he spent WWII with the OSS. Just before WWII, he spent a year in Germany studying German Youth Groups for the PHD dissertation he was working on as a University of Wisconsin postgraduate
After the War, Dr. Schmid worked in the Information Control Division (ICD) of the American occupation government. The ICD focused on inserting pro-American ideals into the German population, both overtly (a newspaper) and covertly, (subverting Nazi and Communist ideas.)
In short, with Dr. Schmid at the helm of various departments, the ICD spread American propaganda through the German Population, no doubt mostly for the better (no new Nazis).
Schmid returned to the US in 1953 and went to work for the Ford Foundation under Richard Bissell (the future CIA Director of Plans - fired by JFK over the failed Bay of Pigs, along with General Cabell, Allen Dulles and Robert Amory Jr.)
The links below go deeper into the Amory connections to the Human Society movement and the Schmid connections to potential Psychological Warfare Efforts against the American Population centered around Fort Monmouth, New Jersey, where Dr. Robert C. Schmid moved to, upon his return to the US, and his employment with the Ford Foundation.
We are going to post related articles once they are properly formatted about Cleveland Amory and Robert C. Schmid.

Finally, during the 70s, the Process Church "morphed" into the Best Friends Animal Society. The Process Church has been connected to both Charlie Manson and the Son of Sam Cult.
We can’t help but wonder if Best Friends Animal Society has connections to the HSUS, or Friends of Animals or the Fund for Animals.
